Accessibility Statement
TruTalk is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our internal standard.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML, pages are built with proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can navigate them naturally.
- Keyboard navigation, all interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) can be reached and operated with a keyboard.
- Color contrast, body text on our dark background meets AA contrast ratios. Interactive elements use high-contrast amber and purple states.
- Reduced motion, animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting in your operating system. If you've turned that on, the floating elements and prompt-cycling will be paused. - Tap targets, buttons and tap targets on mobile meet the 44 × 44 pixel minimum recommended by Apple and Material design guidelines.
- Text scaling, the site uses relative units, so increasing your browser's text size scales the layout accordingly.
- Alt text, meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked appropriately for assistive technology.
Known limitations
We are aware of areas where we can do better:
- Some illustrative SVG scenes are decorative and may not communicate the same meaning to non-visual users; we plan to add text equivalents where helpful.
- The full TruTalk web app (app.letstrutalk.com) is a separate product with its own accessibility roadmap.
